HOW TO ORDER, PAY AND PICKUP

Please shop with consideration for others. There are no issues with supply so there is no need to purchase more than you would any other week. Let’s ensure there is a fair distribution of food for all in our community. Please try to move towards a weekly shop rather than multiple orders in a week.

It makes an enormous difference to CBW staff if you can read this information and follow the instructions we outline.

Below is all the information you need on ordering, payment and pick up.

As of 1st May –

Email orders must be in by 2pm the day before pick up

You can pick up email orders from Monday to Friday between 2.30 and 4pm.

Door sales will be limited to 1pm – 4pm, from Monday to Friday.

Door sales are only for one or two items, eg milk and bread

ORDERING

Please email us your order at least 24 hours before you want to come and pick it up. If we receive your order after 2pm it will be available 2 days later. Eg; If you want to pick up on Wednesday, you need to order by Tuesday before 2pm. All orders placed after Friday 2pm will be available for pick up from Monday 2.30-4pm or later in the week.

BREAD: to guarantee your bread order please send an email to request a ‘standing” weekly order.

From the following week,  your bread will be put aside when delivered. Please just mention this standing order when you put through your weekly order of veg and dried goods.

Wild Rye delivered Tuesday and Thursday. Honor bread delivered Wednesday.

Please do not leave a message on our phone, you need to speak to a coop member.

You will find lists of dry goods and refrigerated items on our website, outside the coop on the noticeboard.

At present we have a 1kg limit on all bulk food items.  This may change as more stock comes into the store.

You can special order 5kg and 12.5 kg flour bags and some dry goods in 20kg sacks. These special bulk orders take between one week and one month to arrive.

Lists of fresh produce will also be posted on the notice board at the shop and on the website and on facebook on Monday and Wednesday before noon. Due to the unpredictable nature of our fresh food deliveries (we don’t always get what we order from markets) we can only give our best indication of what’s on offer and the approximate prices.

There will not be substitutions if any items on your order are not available.

Sadly, we are unable to fill any of your jars and containers due to contamination concerns. You are welcome to purchase jars and bottles, please see the website and other information sources for prices and sizes.

Please purchase these  when you come to collect. Simply tell a staff member what you want, and they will collect your items and you can use paywave/tap to pay.

Bread: you can purchase at the store door, but it will be quicker to order via email.

When you put through your email order please ensure it lists:

·         Your phone number

·         How you will pay ( credit card or eftpos), and/or if you already have your credit card details on file

·         whether we have your credit card details. (if not, you will need to call us)

·         When you want to pick up (Date and AM or PM)

·         List your items clearly

For bulk food items: include the Item name, regular or organic, quantity (weight or number of scoops)

Eg  3 scoops insecticide free almonds

500gm rye flour

Other items:

1 doz eggs, rainbow carton

300gm local gala apples

1 bunch celery

5 bananas


PAYMENT SYSTEMS

Ideally, the first time you place an email or phone order, you call us with your credit card details. These will be written on a file card that gets locked in our safe at the end of each day. We will happily destroy these when we get back to “normal”.

When we put your items through the cash register, we will use your credit card numbers to complete the payment. A cash register and eftpos receipt will be taped to your order. All you have to do is come and get it, quick and easy.

If you want to pay on pick up, this will take a little longer but its fine. We will ring up your packed order when you arrive, and you can pay using the eftpos machine or cash.

We would really prefer not to handle cash so please do your best to move towards paying by credit card or eftpos.


PICK UP

FROM 1st May pick up times are;

Monday to Friday between 2.30 and 4pm.

The French doors along the side veranda will be open. Please approach the doors to pick up.

If we don’t already have your credit card details on file, you will have to wait for your order to be put through the cash register and repacked. You can add refrigerated items and bread at this stage. Please try not to ask for other items you have just remembered, such as “oh can I just get some tea, and paprika, and prunes.”


HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF ALL

Please follow the government health guidelines around hygiene.

Wash your hands regularly. Keep a distance of 2m from other customers and staff. Please don’t come and pick up goods if you are unwell.

Our coop members have been working very hard in the last few weeks so please be kind and considerate as you always are.

We encourage you to share pick up and ordering with others in your community.

Together as a community we can all support one another to be well fed.
