How to shop in bulk at Candelo Bulk Wholefoods Co-op

A majority our stock is available in bulk, giving you the freedom to buy as much or as little as you want, without waste. It is a bit different to how you shop at a supermarket but once you get the hang of it you wont want to go back. The video below illustrates the steps involved in waste-free shopping beautifully, and of course our staff are always happy to assist you.

Bring your own container

Or choose from recycled or new jars and bottles we have for sale

Weigh empty container

Including the lid - and write the weight on it

OR just use a bag

If you don’t want to bring or buy a jar we provide brown paper bags for free

Fill your container

Shopping this way you can choose to buy as much or as little as you need

Write the PLU code

Every bulk product has a unique three digit PLU code - write this on your container or bag

Take to check out

At the check-out, staff will subtract the weight of your container so you only pay for what's inside!
